***Fits 2023+ X3 Turbo 135HP base, non-intercooled X3***

  • The Maverick X3 135HP is a great UTV that has a ton of potential.  It's priced right, and for just a little more we can get the power you are needing.
  • X3 135HP to 220+HP Upgrade Kit includes: HP Tuners MPVI3 w/ECU Unlock (which is performed at HP Tuners facility in Illinois), OBDII to Can Am Diagnostic Port Cable, necessary credits to flash your ECU, one AA custom tune (more tunes optional), Black Intercooler with Fan (See Installed Image), AA Wastegate (7-18 PSI Kit), S2 clutch kit, BOV, and charge tube & clamps.
  • We have 3 levels of performance on the intercooler/stock fuel pump configuration up to 250HP.
  • OEM shroud over intercooler is NOT used.  Intercooler is oversized so some slight trimming is required to drop into the housing.
  • Exhaust (cat delete is fine) required for Level 3 or higher to run at optimum performance.  Can run Level 3 with stock exhaust on a minimum of 93 octane.
  • Looking for the best, most badass ECU tuning available for your Maverick X3 135 non-intercooled model?  AA's performance tunes are readily available to gain horsepower and torque.  Through our advanced ECU tuning we are able to modify parameters correctly to gain you the power needed.  We are highly experienced in tuning the X3 platform and this will show.   We were one of the first to flash the original 120HP X3 RR on the older ME17 ECU platform and spent a huge amount of time in R&D to develop the most powerful ECU calibrations (tunes) possible.  Those years of R&D on the previous generation has carried over easily into the new 135HP MG1 ECU platform giving us the most powerful and reliable tunes possible.
  • Allows you to flash the ECU, data log engine parameters, and view/erase trouble codes
  • **Requires ECU to be sent in to be unlocked**    After the initial unlock, the ECU can now be flashed at any time using the AA/HP Tuners MVPI3 and your laptop.
    • Standard Unlock Process (Average 5-10 business days):   Within 1 business day after purchase, we will send you instructions on sending your ECU to HP tuners.  You will be responsible for shipping the ECU to HP tuners.   Once at HP tuners, the ECU will take 1-5 business days for HP tuners to unlock.  Your ECU will then be sent back via standard ground shipping.  Turnaround time greatly varies on your location and how long ground shipping takes to/from HP tuners.
    • Express Unlock Process (Average 3-5 business days):  **For the continental US 48 states ONLY**  We will send you a UPS Next Day Air label and instructions.  You will need to attach this label to your own ECU package, then give the package to your local UPS drop-off location.  Once at HP tuners, the ECU will take 1-5 business days for HP tuners to unlock.  The ECU will then be sent back to you via Next Day shipping.  All other parts on the express flash order will be shipped ground unless otherwise specified/selected during order checkout.  Keep in mind we cannot guarantee same day programming or control UPS shipping times/delays.  We will do everything possible to turn the ECU around as fast as possible.
    • ENSURE you INSURE your ECU for $500.  AA is not responsible for shipping delays or lost ECUs.  While more expensive over Priority Mail or FedEx, UPS has been the most reliable carrier in our experience.
    • We will follow up with instructions for ECU removal
  •  Windows laptop and basic computer skills needed to flash.  In the near future, the smartphone RTD app will allow you to flash without a computer using the same device.
  • Big horsepower gains depending on the level of tune/modifications (see below tune descriptions for more details)
  • Not just dyno tested! We are avid riders and like the factory, a ton of the testing is done in the field to make sure you are getting 110%.  With data logging capabilities you can't get any better testing than real world.  Often times we can make significant changes to further increase power, drivability, and feel of the machine that can never be done on the dyno.
  • Much quicker throttle response and power delivery giving a whole new feel to the vehicle
    • Throttle by wire adjustments per drive mode/gear give the vehicle a snappy feel in sport mode without being overly sensitive in lower modes, making it still great for crawling and loading in a trailer.
    • Throttle by wire limiters disabled
    • More throttle % in low gear and reverse as the factory limits these gears to not open the throttle fully
  • Fan on/off is lowered to 185/180 degrees F for cooler engine and charge temps.  OEM is 203/198.
  • Speed limiter removed in low and high gears.  Top speed will depend on resistance vs power and overall gearing/tire size.
  • Rev limit increased to 9000 RPM for speed/overshoot.  Optimum peak RPM is 7900-8200.
  • 2 foot limiters removed (gas/brake at the same time)
  • Seatbelt limiter disabled
  • Overboost, underboost, and intake plenum leak code parameters are desensitized
  • Torque limitations properly raised
  • AA's wicked timing curve is safe for the fuel octane recommended, but we do a much better job of finding timing limits for ramp up/more torque.  Many others simply focus on wide open throttle timing/fueling.
  • AA's modified fuel curve will still get good mileage cruising, but will come in richer than OEM during spool.  The OEM fueling curve is extremely rich at wide open throttle for emissions purposes, so we correct this with an air/fuel ratio (AFR) that makes more power and is actually safer for the engine.
  • AFR ratios extensively tested and verified at each tune level.
  • Boost levels are for quick reference at seal level to 2000ft only.  Boost ratings vary with temps, altitude, and various other factors.
  • Crank horsepower numbers are estimates.  Keep in mind other dynos in the industry are much more generous than ours.  Our tunes with similar boost levels will run right with or better than the competition as we tune to the maximum power level per octane.
  • A stock X3 135HP on our dyno was 128 RWHP (roughly 150 Crank HP, Can Am underrated this model) and runs roughly 7-8 PSI of boost sustained.

  •  How to:  Waste Gate Adjustment
  • Max boost levels are listed as reference only. Altitude, temperature, charge temps, intercooler temps and many other conditions play into a factor of final boost output. AA tunes do a better job of making sure you reach these levels as the factory tunes are overly safe.
  • Why AA tunes over others?  We have been tuning UTV's with CVT clutches for a long time, longer than almost anyone in our field going back to the 800 RZR.  Tuning a CVT vehicle properly is not an easy task as you have so many variables at one time.  We spend the time to wheel dyno(with actual UTV tires) correctly per modification, and have advanced ECU calibration and clutching knowledge to do so. Every change in horsepower can result in us changing clutching several times. We also develop most of our supporting mods so we know everything works correctly, and build parts to fit the vehicles needs.  Lastly and honestly the most important; we then back up our results with real world data logging on local trails and our facility on 110 acres.  It's this combination that truly makes the difference and why AA normally has a faster vehicle with the same or less rated tune horsepower.
  • S2 Clutch kits include 3 of our AA Recoil magnetic adjustable clutch weights, our secondary spring & setup guideline.  You can choose to upgrade to the S3 kit which adds our adjustable helix for $300 extra. See the adjustable helix page for more information on helix options.
